The Challenge
Young entrepreneurs and changemakers from Africa and the Middle East work every day to address societal challenges such as climate adaptation, food security, and equal opportunities. Their impact is significant, but the question was: How can they further strengthen their leadership, innovative capacity, and international network to increase their effectiveness?
Our approach
Commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Next Lab developed and facilitated a two-day program leading up to the One Young World Summit. During the program, participants worked on leadership development, innovation and entrepreneurship skills, and a pitch to prepare for meetings with investors and partners.
The result
The program not only gave participants greater clarity regarding their social mission, but also equipped them with the skills and confidence to further expand their impact. Even more importantly, an international network has emerged in which participants continue to support one another and collaborate on social change.
