The Challenge
Young entrepreneurs in Iraq have ambition and talent, but they operate in an environment where innovation, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation are not a given. The question was how they could grow their businesses while also making a positive contribution to their communities.
Our approach
In collaboration with the Bunyan Foundation for Development and Education, The Next Lab developed an intensive training program for participants in the Iraq Growth & Innovation Program (IGIP).
During the program, the participants worked on:
- Their personal business challenge
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills
- Focus Sprint Based on Design Thinking
- Experimenting, making choices, and taking action more quickly
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
- Cultural Differences and Effective International Collaboration
The result
The participants left the program with new insights, practical tools, and a concrete action plan for their businesses. In addition, a strong international network was formed in which entrepreneurs continue to inspire and support one another and collaborate on sustainable economic and social development.
