User-Driven Prototyping

Learn how to quickly develop concrete solutions and prototypes together with users. Don’t just come up with ideas—build and test them right away.

About the training

User-Driven Prototyping is a method that actively involves users in the development and testing of solutions—not after the fact, but from the very beginning.

You’ll learn how to collaborate with the right people, how to quickly turn ideas into simple prototypes, and how to gather immediate feedback to keep improving.

The key is learning quickly: by testing early on, you avoid wasting time on solutions that don’t work.

Program

During the training, you will go through the key steps of user-driven prototyping.

  • Understanding the user: You’ll learn how to clearly identify who your user is and what really matters.
  • Focusing the problem: You are working on defining a clear and relevant challenge.
  • Generating ideas: You’ll learn how to quickly come up with lots of solutions together with others.
  • Prototyping: You translate ideas into simple, concrete prototypes (sketches or mock-ups).
  • Testing and improvement: You gather immediate feedback from users and learn how to turn that feedback into improvements.

By the end of the session, you’ll have practical tips and tools to apply this process on your own.
